It is a gorgeous place. It is incredible what people could build a few hundred years ago.

Belle, évocatrice de jour comme de nuit, avec un jeu de lumières qui la mettent en valeur.(Translated by Google)Located in Piazza del Plebiscito, opposite the Royal Palace, this basilica, commissioned by Ferdinand I of Bourbon, is in neoclassical style (inspired by the Pantheon) built in 1816.While the colonnades which surround it give a vague resemblance to the basilica of Saint Peter in Rome.Beautiful, evocative day and night, with a play of lights that highlight it.

Beautiful. This is an excellent example of neoclassical architecture, and I believe was inspired by the Pantheon in Rome. With a huge dome and a colonnade reminiscent of the Roman structure. The interior is very grand and spacious.

Beautiful church but everything around it is so dirty as others mentioned. You actually walk on piss to enter. Smells disgusting.

Un très beau monument à voir à Naples, malheureusement l’extérieur de celui ci est dégradé par de nombreux tag et n’est pas entretenu(Translated by Google)A very beautiful monument to see in Naples, unfortunately the exterior of it is damaged by numerous tags and is not maintained

It is a shame that this imposing basilica, located in front of the royal palace, in Piazza del Plebiscito, the main square of Naples, is in such poor condition, at least in its external galleries. The south is full of homeless people, graffiti and debris of all kinds. However, its interior remains clear. It's impressive. It has a resemblance to the Pantheon in Rome.

Basilica Reale Pontificia San Francesco da Paola is a stunning neoclassical basilica in Naples. Its impressive architecture, serene interior, and cultural significance make it a must-visit site. The location in Piazza del Plebiscito adds to its charm, attracting both tourists and locals. However, it's worth noting that the surrounding area can sometimes be dirty, which might detract from the overall experience.

Visite libre et gratuite.(Translated by Google)Very beautiful and impressive basilica, whose architecture is reminiscent of that of the Pantheon in Rome. Three domes house a beautiful circular building whose central dome rises into the sky. All around a remarkable Stations of the Cross and beautiful paintings and immense statues. Two small chapels on either side of the entrance complete the ensemble. Self-guided and free visit.

This is an absolutely beautiful building. It's basically Naples' own patheon. You can visit it without paying anything which unfortunately means the interior has some wear and tear. But the biggest problem is the exterior facing Piazza del Plebiscito which is covered in graffiti. Maybe they should start charging a fee to cover the cost of cleaning/restoration.This should be a jewel and a major tourist attraction in the heart of Naples. It's a real shame it's not better cared for.

An exemplary piece of neoclassical architecture and was inspired by the Pantheon in Rome. It has a large dome and a colonnade reminiscent of the Roman structure. The interior of the basilica is grand and spacious, with a high dome. The design is simple yet elegant, reflecting the neoclassical style. Construction of the basilica began in 1816, and it was completed in 1846. Situated in Piazza del Plebiscito, one of the main squares in Naples that is surrounded by important landmarks, including the Royal Palace of Naples and the Palazzo Salerno.

Nice but empty church, beautiful statues and walls in marble, clean and fresh overall.Cool place to stay when outside is too hot to handle.Suggested for families and couples.Tickets are not required.

I have been in love with the unique Italian architecture since childhood. I have read so many documentary texts and heard of those who know so many stories about how architects, engineers and builders from the Italian lands built almost everywhere on the whole Earth, built such famous buildings all over the world. Their names and surnames are found everywhere. Now imagine what should have been in Italy itself... And yes, of course it is, Rome, Naples, Florence and all of Italy are full of magnificent, most brilliant buildings. It is exactly what this magnificent place is, around this huge beautiful square. This basilica made an indelible impression on me. It is incredible, perfect on the outside and shockingly grandiose and beautiful on the inside. Everyone should see all this with their own eyes. I have already repeated in several places that only one unpleasant moment upsets me. Around this square, inside the adjacent shiny colonnade, it is very unclean, there is a lot of uncleanness and a bad smell, homeless people live there and they don’t clean it. And so it is in many places of this unique city. I think that Naples should solve this big and very unpleasant problem as soon as possible.

Amazing architecture, but the lack of care from the local government is shocking. Graffiti everywhere outside, wood panels pinned over some of the doors, homeless people everywhere, it honestly looked apocalyptic.

Marty E — Google review

It’s a nice church from the outside. There are many rubbish and homeless people at the entrance. We couldn’t get inside

Beautiful cathedral whose architecture is reminiscent of the Pantheon. Lots of nice paintings and a beautiful dome. Must visit!

Amrit V — Google review

The inside is very beautiful, however it’s very disappointing to see graffiti everywhere. Every column and on the doors. Trash and cardboard boxes that may or may not be lived in.

Located inPiazza del Plebiscito, the Basilica of San Francesco da Paola is an imposingneoclassical templewith a circular planthat represents one of thelargest churches in Naples. From afar, the church appears surrounded by a large colonnade that extends over Piazza del Plebiscito which gives it a great protagonism, despite being in front of the majesticRoyal Palace. Once inside, we will find anexquisitely decorated templecomposed of a central nave that opens like a rotunda with a diameter of 34 meters, topped by a dome supported by 34 Corinthian columns. Due to its circular shape, the temple's interior resembles that of thePantheon of AgrippainRome.

Magnificent building, but a little run down when you get up close.
