18, 1996, at Bro-Menn Medical Center, Normal, Ill. The former Dana Horton was born Sept. 17, 1963, in Davenport, the daughter of Dale E. and Judith Dunton Horton. She had been employed as a waitress and hostess at several area restaurants.

She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 9128 of Bettendorf. 18, 1996, at home. The former Irene Kuhlmann was born April 5, 1907, in Davenport, the daughter of Henry and Rosa Clasen Kuhlmann. She married Leon Hoffmann June 20, 1928, in Davenport. He died Oct. 9, 1962.

5, 1907, in Drury Township, Rock Island County, the daughter of Wilson P. and Caroline Kranz Downey. She married Vaughn Powell Dec. 27, 1930, in Rock Island. He died in 1977.

She graduated from Brown's Business College. She and her husband were lifetime farmers in Drury Township. She was a member Bluff Wrayville United Methodist Church, Ruth Ann Circle and was past member of Illinois City Saddle Club and Drill Team. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and for many years raised Appaloosa horses. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Robert Berry, Muscatine, Sandra and Max Spray, Taylor Ridge, and Portia and Robert Carle, New Boston; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.

SILVIS Helen Suss Services for Helen G. Suss, 81, Pasadena, formerly of Silvis, are 2 p.m. Thursday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Visitation is one hour before the services.

Miss Suss died Saturday, Aug. 17, 1996, in Pasadena. She was born August 10, 1915, in Silvis, the daughter of George and Christine Petersen Suss. She was retired after many years as an executuve secretary for the city of Pasadena. Survivors include a sister, Margaret Clausen, Leawood, and brothers, Charles Suss, Leawood, and Irving Suss, Moline; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lofgren died Sunday, Aug. 18, 1996, at Trinity Medical Center, East Campus, Moline. Mrs. VanHulle was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, crossstitch and crafts. Laue, 72, West Burlington, Iowa, died Monday, Aug. 19, 1996, at Burlington Medical Center. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Burlington, where he was a member, usher, lector and Eucharistic minister.

Burial is in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Burlington, with military rites conducted by VFW Post 10102. Visitation is after 8 a.m. today at Lunning Chapel, Burlington, with a rosary to be conducted at 4 by Knights of Columbus. The family will be present 7 to 9 p.m. tonight with a Christian wake service at 7.

Memorials may be made to the church or Notre Dame Catholic Schools. Mr. Laue was born Oct. 6, 1923, in Ewing, the son of Charles August and Gertrude Meller Laue. He married Mary D.

McLaughlin Nov. 19, 1949, in Dodgeville, Iowa. He graduated from University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, with a degree in engineering. He also graduated from Virginia Polytech, Fort Belvoir, and Command General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kan. He was an engineer at I.A.A.P., head of product safety for Mason Hanger Silas Mason and also worked in the Atomic Energy Department, retiring in 1993 after 44 years.

During his tenure he attended several EPA training classes for the IAAP and was in charge of implementing the EPA program there. He was a World War II Army veteran, having served under Gen. George Patton for two campaigns. He prepared camps for German men and women under Gen. Patton and built bridges in Germany during the war.

He fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He served with Gen. Douglas Mac Arthur where his unit worked and repaired boilers and furnaces. He received numerous commendations and medals. In 1946, he went to Fort Sheridan and was discharged in August 1946.

As he was called up for the Berlin Crisis Oct. 20, 1961, and was stationed as a major at Fort Leonard Wood, until Aug. 5, 1962. He retired as lieutenant colonel with the Army Reserves after 30 years of service. He was commander for the 495th Engineer Batallion for the Army Reserves.

He was on the board of directors for Burlington Area Catholic Schools; was past member of Building Committee for St. Mary's and Notre Dame Schools; past president of Notre School Board; honorary retired member of Knights of Columbus and served as a Black Knight; past president of West Burlington Little League; past director of Notre Dame Bus Transportation; past member of Notre Dame Home and School; 4-H supporter and volunteer for 35 years; present member of Des Moines County Fair Board; Beef Committee; Travelers Protective Association; Fraternal Order of the Eagles; VFW Post 10102; Des Moines County Farm Bureau; Blackhawk Booster Club and Blackhawk Century Club. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking and was an avid reader and tutor. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Judith Ann Laue, Bettendorf; sons, Bernard Charles Laue, Wapello, and Craig Edward Laue, Largo, five grandchildren; sisters, Marceline Samuels, Wapello, Lucille Jennings, Columbus Junction, and Patricia White, Springdale, and a brother, Delbert Laue, Burlington. He was an Army veteran, having served as a lineman with the 342nd Regiment of the 86th Infantry Division in the European and Asiatic Pacific theatres.

He was a member of Aledo Masonic Lodge 252 Scottish Rites Bodies, Valley of Moline; Mohammed Temple of Peoria; West Centeral Shrine Club; Warren Chapter Royal Arch Masons; American Legion Fallerans Post 121; a life member of the Aledo VFW Post 1571; Aledo Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 126; Mercer County Senior Citizens Center; American Association of Retired Persons; Oak View Country Club, Aledo; and was a life member of Mercer County Historical Society. He enjoyed woodworking. Thursday. The former Lillian Thomas was born Nov. 13, 1913, in Black Duck, the daughter of David and Bessie Keller Thomas. She married Samuel A. Gardner in 1930 in Peoria.

He died Aug. 4, 1979, in Silvis. She was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include a sister, Geneva Danz, East Peoria; and sevoral nieces and nephews. Robert Anderson Robert Earl Anderson, 73, Tucson, died Sunday, Aug.

11, 1996, at Veterans Medical Center, Tucson. There are no services. A memorial will be held at a later date in Aledo and in Tucson this winter. Mr. Anderson was born April 26, 1923, in Aledo, the son of Earl and Emeline Galloway Anderson.

He married Patsy Greeves May 1, 1945, in Aledo. He received his bachelor and masters degrees at the University of Illinois, and he did graduate studies at Northern Illinois University. He taught in Illinois for 32 years, retiring in 1984. He was a World War II veteran, having served as naval aviation electrician. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 31, Andrew Webb 160, Patton Commandery a69, all of Mount Vernon, Medina Shrine, Chicago; charter member of Northwest Shrine Club, charter member of B.P.O.E.

in Elk Grove Village, life member of D.A.V.; member of I.B.E.W. 702, West Frankfort, life member of National Education Association and lifetime member of United Methodist Church. Survivors include the widow; a son, James E. Anderson, Elk Grove Village; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Caroline Anderson, Galesburg; a stepbrother, Roger Domme, Bradenton, and a sister-in-law, Betty Anderson, Milan. NATION Geulah Abrahams New York Times Geulah Abrahams, a modern dancer and choreographer, died on Saturday at the Princeton Medical Center in 1 Princeton, N.J.

She was 65 and had homes in Princeton and New York. She died after a brief illness, said her husband, Elihu Abrahams. Ms. Abrahams performed with the Paul Taylor Dance Company in 1963 and also danced with Mary Anthony, Pearl Lang and the Merry-Go-Rouders. She was on the dance faculty at Princeton University from 1975 to 1985.
